STM Win With a Side Order of Contusion

Well on Wednesday, April 26, we traveled to Saint Thomas More school in Connecticut (three hour drive). They are a second chance school, for kids that might have had run-ins with the law before, so they can be pretty brutal. Anyway, we had a nice ride up, leaving school at 12:15. I slept most of the way, since I forgot my CD player. Well, the highlights of the game for me were: one assist, one goal, one arm rape, and of course a win. I was going to get a ground ball and some kid with a defense stick winds up all the way and slams his stick on me. He did not hit my stick at all, but rather my arm. I had a massive lump on my arm which looked like a tumor. The final score was 14-10, us. The ride home was fun, again. We stopped at Wendy's for dinner and I stocked up on food from the dollar menu. Alden gave us his second synopsis of Hostile. I got home at 8:30 and went to sleep almost immediately. Well several days passed and it still looked as if I had a tumor on my arm. My Mom was worried, so she took me to the emergency room to have it x-rayed. I just have a contusion (bruised bone). I'll be ready for our next game. :P

Honk if You're Happy

Following my visit to the emergency room to get my arm checked out, I attended a Christian Youth Convention in... Connecticut. So we cruised down there topping out at 57 MPH on our beast of a red bus. The whole way up some kids taped some signs to the back of the bus window. One read "Honk if you're happy." I was kind of interested in this. So for twenty minutes I tallied forty-three people who were happy and 9 losers who just waved. In thirty seconds I counted 19 cars that passed us. That's 38 cars a minute, 760 cars in twenty minutes. That's about one in seventeen people that were happy, given that everyone saw the sign. Let's do some more math though. There are three, twenty minute periods in an hour. So 38 times 3 gives us 114 people who passed us that were happy in an hour. Now, 760 times 3 is 2280 cars that passed us in an hour. Let's just multiply both those numbers by three to give us a rough estimate of how many cars passed us during the trip and how many of them were happy. 114 times 3 is 342 people that passed us in three hours were happy. 2280 times 3 is 6840 cars that passed us in three hours (boy were we going slow). Well, that's disappointing that so many people are not happy or can't read. I'm done now.
One a side note, I only have 23 days of school left. Yay!

Lacrosse Spiel

I know, it's been quite a while since I've posted anything here. I've been doing a bit of work on ModHalo.net, Halo CE Web Ring, and Strength in Style (well, I could be doing more work on Strength in Style). But! Falmouth Academy Varsity Lacrosse did have their fourth game today. We defeated Saint Thomas Moore School for a 3-1 record. Previously we won against Saint Andrew's and Cape Cod Academy and lost to Rocky Hill. I had my first varsity lacrosse goal today which was exciting. I guess that's all for now.

Florida Fun

I just got back from Florida. Let me start off by saying it was a blast! We flew into Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Tuesday, March 7th. We drove North to my Uncle's house in Boca Raton. He kindly let us stay in his guest house, which was a really nice house. On Thursday we drove to Miami Beach and then to Key Largo. The next morning, on Friday we had reservations to go snorkeling at a reef, but unfortunately, it was canceled. So, as we were about to leave the Keyes, we stopped off at the information center and we found a boat going out. Although the visibility in the water wasn't so great, it was better than nothing. Well we headed back to Boca Raton after that. We spent the next several days relaxing and spending some of our time at the Boca Raton Resort and Club. On Monday we went back to Fort Lauderdale to see the King Tut exhibit at the Museum of Art. After eating lunch we went to the Everglades for an airboat tour. Then it was back to Boca again! We spent the next few days going to the beach and watching movies at the night, until, unfortunately, we had to fly back Thursday, March 16th. I had a great time!

Snow To Swim

This past weekend we went up to Sunday River to hit up some snowboarding/skiing before we go down to Florida on Tuesday. Sunday River Resort did a very nice job at making snow given the fact that there was barely any snow on the ground. It was all lots of fun. Unfortunately, I became sick while we were there from various people coughing and sneezing on me. It's a bummer, but I'm sure I'll be good to go for Tuesday.
