Capture the Flag, School is out, etc.

We had our annual school Capture the Flag Day at Falmouth Academy on Friday, May 26. Of course it was a blast once again. About 150 or so students and teachers participate in a large scale capture the flag game. It takes place over an area of several acres, including two sports fields and other various areas of the school campus. The blue team was supposed to totally destroy the white team (my team). Well it turns out the white team controlled the game for most of the time. Unfortunately, it ended in a tie when one of the flags twenty feet from the border had been captured. My brother guarded that flag for forty five minutes, until he went after some people trying to get it. It was all good fun.

On another note, Tuesday marked the end of classes! We now have five finals, one for each day which are each two hours long. I already took my English final, which I think I did pretty well on.

Regular Season Lacrosse Ends

We had our season closer today against the Saint Andrews Saints, located in Barrington, Rhode Island. It was home. We had a huge tailgate at our school. Anyway, we won 12-3. It was pretty fun. A big guy on Saint Andrews, about 6 ' 6 " and at least 250 pounds was covering me a lot of the time. He had fun hacking away at me. He got a trip and a 2 minute slash on me, so it's all good. On Monday we play Saint Thomas More, at home for the SENEISSA (South Eastern New England Independent Schools) semi-finals. We have played them twice before and won both times by four. Apparently, their seniors already graduated, so it should be an easy win. Then we have our finals against Rocky Hill on Wednesday. That won't be as easy. We'll just hope for the best.

Goodbye Net Neutrality

Well I'm not very excited right about now. Here is why. Basically it means that web owners will have to pay extra if they don't want their website to go at super slow speeds, or just redirect them to a competitor instead. Just read the article. It will explain things a lot better than I will. The good news is it hasn't been signed yet! Visit this website to write to your congress men and representative, telling them you don't want this to happen!

Site Work

I did some work on my website. For one, I removed the forums because nobody was really using them. Secondly, I added a skip to content link at the top of each page, so if you don't feel like looking at my pretty banner you can just press skip to content and it will take you to all the text. Lastly, I added something called access keys. Access keys will allow you to go to a link without ever having to click anything. On a PC you hold ALT and the corresponding key, on a Mac you hold Control and the corresponding key. Here's how I set mine up: While holding alt or control, press 1 to skip to content, 2 to go to the homepage, 3 to go to art, 4 to go to web, 5 to go to animations, 6 to go to links, 7 to go to about, and 8 to go to contact. Get it? Got it? Good.
